StatSheet's WAC Player of the Week for February 6th goes to Louisiana Tech's Cordarius Johnson. Daniel Mullings from New Mexico State has won StatSheet's WAC Freshman of the Week. Johnson tallied big numbers in shooting (50%), scoring (16 pts per game), and rebounding (9 per game). The Louisiana Tech sophomore played well in a loss to New Mexico State.
This is the first StatSheet WAC Player of the Week honor for Cordarius Johnson. The runner-up this week is Hawaii junior Joston Thomas. Honorable mention goes to Louisiana Tech sophomore Kenyon McNeail. Wil Carter was the highest ranking player from San Jose State, finishing fourth.
StatSheet WAC Freshman of the Week: New Mexico State's Daniel Mullings
Daniel Mullings played an average of 30 minutes starting both games for New Mexico State. In a 78-57 waxing of Cal State Bakersfield, Mullings rang up 16 points on 63% shooting. In an 83-72 win over Louisiana Tech, he put up 70% shooting and 3 steals.
Amazingly, Daniel Mullings has won the StatSheet WAC Freshman of the Week 4 times. The runner-up is Raheem Appleby from Louisiana Tech. Honorable mention goes to our own D.J. Brown. San Jose State players have not yet been named StatSheet WAC Player of the Week this season.
